Please note: Any changes that you make to your Advanced DNS settings can interrupt your service. If you are not an advanced user, we strongly recommend that you not change these settings without consulting our support department.
SPF Records should also be created as a TXT record, as many servers only look at TXT records for SPF instructions.
To create SPF records please follow these steps:
Step 1.
Login to your Rebel account and click Domain Manager.
Step 2.
Click directly on your domain name to access the edit page.
Step 3.
Once you are on the edit page scroll down until you find Manage Advanced DNS Records and click on the link in this section.
Important: If your domain is currently set to Use Third Party Hosting the Advanced DNS will only be allocated with your hosting service provider. If the name server information for your domain is currently set to Park with Rebel, Forward Domain or Host with Rebel you will be able to access the Advanced DNS from within your Rebel account.
Step 4.
Scroll down until you find Sender Policy Framework (SPF) Records. Click Add New SPF Record and enter the Host and Record information as instructed by your hosting service provider. You can leave the TTL as it is. To save your record click on the green + sign under Actions.
If you are hosted with Rebel and looking to prevent email spoofing, a TXT record can be applied to your domain so that only Rebel's mail servers are authorized to send mail on behalf of your domain. This is done using the same steps as above within the Text Record (TXT).
Please note: This information is only applicable if you are hosted with Rebel and do not use any other mail services for sending mail.
Host : your domain name
Record : "v=spf1 mx ip4:54.236.124.210 ip4:54.208.1.230 -all"
When editing your advanced DNS the propagation time will be approximately 1-2 hours unless you are switching the Nameserver Information from Use Third Party Hosting to our nameservers, in which case the propagation time can be approximately 24-48 hours.
