Unlike many other domain extensions, .EU domains use dynamic authorization codes for transfers.
When you request an authorization code for a .EU domain, a new code is generated by the registry (EURid). This code is valid for a limited time (typically up to 40 days).
If the transfer is not completed within that period, a new authorization code must be requested before initiating the transfer again.
Each time a new code is generated, any previously issued code becomes invalid once it has been used or expired.
This process is part of EURid’s security measures to help prevent unauthorized or fraudulent domain transfers.
