Note: We no longer offer Weebly as a new website builder option. However, if you still have an active Weebly package, you can continue to use and manage your site as usual. |
Weebly offers three types of Apps that function in different ways.
1. App Elements
These add new tools or features directly to your Weebly editor sidebar. You can drag and drop these into your site just like any other built-in Weebly element. Some apps include a single element, while others may include several—or none at all, depending on their purpose.
2. Snippets
Snippets add small pieces of JavaScript code that run on every published page of your site. These are often used for features like a live chat bubble or tracking script. Snippets don’t appear inside the Weebly editor, you’ll need to publish your site to see them in action.
3. Backend/API Apps
Backend or API Apps connect your Weebly site with other services through the Weebly API. They can sync data such as store orders, products, or blog posts. These apps may not appear in your Editor or Dashboard; instead, you can manage them by clicking “Manage” next to the app name in your My Apps list.
How to get to the App Center:
To access the App Center, you will need to log into your Weebly Website builder. You will be able to click the "Apps" tab in the editor or via the Add App button in the build tab.
From this page, you can browse Weebly’s curated collections of apps or use the search bar to find specific apps by keyword.
Click on any app to view its details, read customer reviews, and learn more about the developer. If you’d like to add the app to your site, simply click "Add".
Follow the on-screen prompts to select the site you want to connect the app to, then choose "Connect". Once the app is installed, you’ll be taken to the site editor, where your new app will appear highlighted in the Build tab.
Manage Apps:
You can manage your installed apps from several locations: the Manage link in the Build tab, the My Apps section under Settings, or the My Apps link in the Apps tab. All three options lead to the same management page. Here, you can remove or reconnect an app, contact the developer for support, leave a review, and more.
Some apps include a Manage button that opens the provider’s website, where you can access and manage your account directly.
Please note that Weebly does not provide direct support for third-party apps. If you need assistance, click on the app’s icon or visit its page in the App Center to contact the developer for help.
