Overview
Sitejet Builder provides a drag-and-drop web design interface directly within your hosting control panel. Because Sitejet operates by generating and publishing static site files straight into your domain's web folder, removing Sitejet requires clearing those published files from your server directory.
While you can self-serve this process directly inside your panel, deleting website files is a delicate process that can cause irreversible data loss if custom media, code, or databases are removed by mistake. Follow the safety steps below carefully before purging your directory.
Important Warning: Back Up Your Files First
Sitejet uploads all published assets directly to your domain's document root directory (typically /httpdocs). Deleting these files removes your published website completely.
Before you delete any files related to Sitejet, please ensure you have a backup or create a fresh backup.
If you are unsure whether any files other than Sitejet ones have been manually added since the last publish date (such as custom images, media uploads, or standalone script files), create a full domain backup in Plesk before proceeding.
Self-Service Steps (How to Remove Sitejet Files in Plesk)
If you are confident you have backed up your critical assets and want to clear Sitejet Builder from your domain:
Step 1: Create a Domain Backup
Log into your account and navigate to Products ➔ Hosting ➔ Control Panel to open Plesk.
Go to Websites & Domains and locate your domain.
Click Backup Manager ➔ Back Up.
Save a local or server snapshot of your site files so you can revert if needed.
Step 2: Remove Published Sitejet Files from Document Root
In Plesk, go to Domains ➔ select your domain (e.g.,
example.com).Open the Dashboard tab and click Files (or open File Manager).
Ensure you are inside your domain's primary document root directory (by default,
/httpdocs).Select all files and directories generated by Sitejet within the document root.
Click Remove / Delete.
Once the document root folder is cleared, Sitejet Builder assets are removed from your domain, leaving a clean directory ready for custom HTML files, WordPress, or an alternative CMS installation.
