Overview
Portfolios allow you to organize and group your domains within your account dashboard for easier management, bulk updating, and categorization. However, when attempting to create a new folder or group, you may encounter a "Failed to Create Portfolio" system error message.
This error occurs when the backend account provisioning system encounters a sync block, database permission error, or a duplicate record restriction while attempting to set up your domain portfolio. Because this error stems from a backend database issue, it cannot be fixed through self-service account settings and requires a Live Agent.
How to Get Immediate Assistance
Keep the Error Screen Open: Take note of the exact page or step where the "Failed to create portfolio" message appeared.
Connect with Support: Reach out directly to a Live Agent via chat or phone call.
Provide Details: Tell the agent:
The primary email address or username associated with your account.
The portfolio name you were attempting to create for organizing your domains.
The exact error text displayed on your screen.
Specialist Resolution: A technical specialist will inspect the provisioning logs, clear the configuration block, and manually initialize your domain portfolio.
